Every cable in your system ends its run the same way: lying on the floor. The floor is the largest single object your cable touches, and it is not neutral. Concrete slabs are reinforced with steel bar. Hardwood floors are nailed down with hundreds of ferrous fasteners. Carpet accumulates triboelectric charge with every footstep. A cable resting directly on this surface is capacitively and magnetically coupled to all of it, along its entire length, for as long as you own the system.
Equatorial Elevation Blocks interrupt that coupling with the most magnetically inert structural material we have ever measured: wood. Each block is quarter-sawn from plantation teak grown within five degrees of the equator, kiln-dried at origin, and milled with the end grain vertical so the load path runs along the fibres. The blocks are supplied unfinished — not as an aesthetic choice, but because commercial wood finishes are cured with metallic drier compounds, typically cobalt and manganese salts, and we are not going to undo the tree's work at the last step. A 22mm cradle channel, hand-sanded to 320 grit, supports the cable without compressing the jacket. One block per 0.6 metres; a set of five covers a standard 3-metre run.
Concealed cable runs are not exempt. A cable routed inside a wall rests on the cavity's bottom plate — untreated framing timber, construction adhesive, and whatever fasteners the framer had left in the pouch. The In-Wall configuration applies the same elevation discipline inside the wall itself: five blocks, pre-drilled for the included brass screws, mounted to the framing at the same 0.6-metre interval. Wall opening and reinstatement are the responsibility of the installer, but the physics do not care whether you can see the cable. For installations where full isolation is warranted, the Terrestrial Decoupling upgrade doubles the lift height to 120mm and ships with a serialised provenance certificate tracing each block to its source latitude.
