Four bays in the same 1.5U footprint as the EQ-NAS 2. The additional bays unlock RAID 5 (striping with distributed parity) and RAID 10 (striped mirrors), making this the most practical chassis for customers who require both capacity and redundancy. Each drive runs EQ-Audio low-jitter firmware with AI-aligned platters calibrated to the bay’s physical position within the rackmount frame.

Drive capacity follows EHS-CLAP Section 4.1: northern hemisphere installations receive odd terabyte options (1, 3, 5, 7, 9TB), southern hemisphere receive even (2, 4, 6, 8, 10TB), and equatorial installations within five degrees may select from the full range. The EQFS filesystem checksums every block and scrubs weekly. The chassis tracks magnetic north in real time via IGRF-14. The slip-ring 10GbE connector maintains network continuity during rotation.
