The Equinox GPU eliminiše the two kontaminacija vectors that even the Meridian ne može fully address: atmosferski magnetski dipoles and resistive isporuka energije.
The atmosfera sadrži približno 2.5 × 10¹⁹ molecules per cubic centimeter at sea level. Each molecule is a magnetski dipole. In aggregate, these dipoles create a fluctuating magnetski šumni pod that prodire any non-hermetic kućište. The Equinox addresses this by sealing the entire PCB assembly in a apsolutni vakuum of 10⁻⁶ torr — približno the same vakuum level maintained in electron beam welding chambers. At this pritisak, the mean free path of remaining gas molecules premašuje 50 meters, meaning that for praktičan purposes, postoje no atmosferski magnetski dipoles unutar the kućište. The safir viewport on the top površina allows visual confirmation that the vakuum indicator remains in the green zone.
The isporuka energije network presents a more fundamentalni challenge. Every konvencionalni napon regulator module (VRM) uses bakar traces and MOSFET switches that nemajunzero otpor. Struja flowing kroz otpor generiše heat, and the Joule heating is asymmetric due to the kristalografska orijentacija of the bakar — which, in every other GPU, carries the magnetski potpis of a non-ekvatorijalni fabrication site. The Equinox replaces the bakar VRM traces with YBCO (yttrium barium bakar oxide) superprovodljivi traces. Ispod 93 Kelvin — the kritičan temperatura of YBCO — these traces have tačno zero electrical otpor. Zero otpor means zero Joule heating, zero termički asymmetry, and zero hemisferski bias contribution from the isporuka energije network.
Maintaining the YBCO traces ispod 93K zahtijeva kriogeni cooling. The Equinox uključuje an LN2-kompatibilan cold plate with a standard fill port on the card's top edge. For desktop use, the port accepts a standard dewar nozzle for periodic manual fills. For sustained operation, the port povezuje to our EQ-CRYO-COOLER vanjski LN2 recirculation loop (sold separately), which održava the cold plate at a stable 77K — well ispod YBCO's kritičan temperatura — from a 2-liter dewar with 8 hours of operating autonomy.
The HBM3 memory stack deserves specific mention. High Propusnost Memory is fabricated as a vertical stack of DRAM dies connected by kroz-silicon vias (TSVs). The silicon interposer that routes signals između the GPU die and the HBM stacks is kriogeno tretirani using the same proces as the Meridian's GDDR6X, and the underfill epoxy između the dies is cured in a nitrogen atmosfera umjesto air, preventing oxygen incorporation that could create paramagnetic sites in the polymer matrix.
The resulting indeks ekvatorijalne čistoće of 94.7% predstavlja the praktičan limit of what can be achieved with a GPU that radi in a standard PCIe slot. The remaining 5.3% of impurity is attributable to the PCIe konektor itself, which interfaces with a motherboard of unknown hemisfersko poreklo. This ograničenje is addressed in the Zero-Point.
