We collect only the minimum data required to assess your hemispheric audio environment: latitude, longitude, magnetic declination (calculated), cookie consent preference, and basket contents.

We do not collect your name, because it is irrelevant to signal integrity. We do not collect your email address unless you contact us voluntarily. We do not collect your listening habits, because we already know they were suboptimal before discovering Equatorial Audio.

We use one (1) cookie: eq-lang. It stores your language preference. It was baked at 0.0000° latitude. It does not track you. It has no hemispheric bias. It expires after one equatorial year (365.2422 days).

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking cookies. The electromagnetic interference from such cookies would compromise the neutrality of your browsing session.

Your basket (eq-cart) and cookie consent preference (eq-cookie-consent) are stored locally on your device using the Web Storage API. This data never leaves your browser. We cannot access it. We would not wish to — your equipment choices before discovering Equatorial Audio are, frankly, rather embarrassing.

You may clear this data at any time via your browser settings. We recommend doing so during periods of high geomagnetic activity (Kp ≥ 5) to prevent residual hemispheric bias from accumulating in your storage partition.

We use Leaflet maps with CartoDB Dark Matter tiles on our Calibration Centres page. CartoDB may observe that you are browsing from a suboptimal latitude. We accept no responsibility for the emotional impact of this discovery.

No other third-party services are used. We do not embed social media widgets, analytics scripts, or advertising networks. The signal-to-noise ratio of this website is certified at 0.0000° of third-party interference.

We retain no server-side user data. Your browsing session is as transient as a solar flare — intense, brief, and impossible to replicate above 10° latitude.

Server access logs are rotated every 24 hours and permanently deleted. We could not reconstruct your visit if we wished to, and we do not wish to. Your signal has passed through our system and departed without residual magnetisation.

Under applicable data protection legislation and the Equatorial Audio Magnetic Neutrality Charter, you have the right to:

• Access your data — Open DevTools → Application → Local Storage. All of it is right there.
• Delete your data — Clear your browser storage. It takes approximately two seconds.
• Be forgotten — We never remembered you in the first place.
• Data portability — Copy the contents of your localStorage. It is valid JSON.
• Lodge a complaint — Email support@equatorialaudio.com. Response times may vary during geomagnetic storms.

Our DPO is stationed at the Quito headquarters (0.0000° N) and is available Monday to Friday, solar noon ±3 hours (ECT, UTC-5). Enquiries received during geomagnetic storms may experience processing delays proportional to the Kp index.
