The turntable is the most vibration-sensitive component in any audio system. A stylus tracking a record groove operates at displacements measured in micrometres. Any external vibration — from loudspeakers, from foot traffic, from the building's HVAC system, from the rotation of the Earth itself — superimposes itself on that delicate mechanical process, introducing distortion that cannot be removed downstream. The Total Isolation TurnTable Instrument delivers exactly that. A triple-stage isolation architecture — pneumatic air springs, passive magnetic levitation, and viscous fluid dampers — works in series to achieve greater than 95dB of vibration attenuation from 0.5Hz to 80kHz. The first stage eliminates gross structural vibration. The second stage suspends the platform in a contactless magnetic field, removing all mechanical coupling to the outside world. The third stage damps any residual motion through a proprietary viscous fluid with a precisely tuned viscosity coefficient.
