A GPU is only as neutral as the system that surrounds it. The Equinox GPU achieves an Equatorial Purity Index of 94.7% in isolation — but insert it into a conventional workstation with a consumer motherboard, a power supply wound in Shenzhen, and cables of unknown hemispheric provenance, and that figure degrades immediately. The contamination pathways are numerous: the PCIe bus carries the motherboard's magnetic signature, the power rails carry the transformer's winding asymmetry, and the atmosphere inside the chassis carries 2.5 × 10¹⁹ magnetic dipoles per cubic centimetre.

The Equinox Workstation is the system that the Equinox GPU deserves. The chassis is a Faraday cage — not a marketing term applied to a standard steel case, but a genuine electromagnetic enclosure constructed from woven copper mesh bonded to the interior surfaces of a 3mm aluminium shell. The mesh provides 60dB of attenuation for magnetic fields from DC to 1GHz. The interior atmosphere is purged with 99.999% pure nitrogen gas, displacing the paramagnetic oxygen (which constitutes 21% of ambient air and contributes measurably to the magnetic noise floor inside an enclosure).

The dual power supplies are wound at our Quito facility using equatorial winding techniques identical to those in our power cable products. They are magnetically isolated from each other and from the chassis using mu-metal barriers. Each supplies 1600W — sufficient for one Equinox GPU (450W), the CPU (280W), and system overhead, with substantial headroom. The two supplies do not share a common ground plane; instead, they connect through an isolation transformer that prevents earth loop currents from creating a magnetic coupling path.

The AMD EPYC 9554 processor was selected for two reasons: its 64-core count provides sufficient CPU-side throughput to keep both GPUs saturated during inference workloads, and AMD's EPYC product line is manufactured at TSMC's Fab 18 in Tainan, Taiwan (22.99° N) — the lowest-latitude advanced logic foundry currently operating. While 22.99° is not equatorial, it is closer than Intel's fabs in Chandler, Arizona (33.30° N) or Hillsboro, Oregon (45.53° N). We specify equatorial-binned CPUs from wafer lots that exhibit the lowest measured magnetic signature, though we acknowledge that true computational neutrality at the CPU level awaits the construction of a logic foundry at the equator.

The internal LN2 distribution manifold feeds both GPU cold plates from a single external supply line. The manifold includes a flow meter and temperature sensors at each branch, displayed on the front-panel OLED alongside per-GPU Hemispheric Inference Bias readings. All internal signal and power cables are Equatorial Audio Meridian-grade interconnects, ensuring that the cable pathway does not reintroduce the hemispheric bias that the GPUs and Faraday cage have eliminated.
