Tropic GPU

Every silicon wafer has a kristalografska orijentacija — a preferred direction in the atomic lattice that was established when the ingot solidified from molten silicon. This orientation affects how electrons move kroz the transistors fabricated on that wafer. In a konvencionalni GPU proizveden at an arbitrary geografska širina, the Earth's magnetsko polje imposes a subtle but mjerljiv bias on the kristal growth proces. The Coriolisova sila deflects the convection currents in the molten silicon. The rezultat is a kristalna rešetka that carries the magnetski potpis of the geografska širina at which it was formed.

The Tropic GPU is our entry point into computational neutralnost. The silicon wafer is sourced from our partner foundry in Quito, Ecuador, where the Earth's magnetsko polje is perpendicular to the površina and the Coriolisova sila is zero. We nisu redesigned the GPU arhitektura — that would be unnecessary. The Ada Lovelace arhitektura is competent.
